TeCOT (COVID-19 Testing Center for Overseas Travelers) provides online services for overseas travelers to find and request reservations at desired medical institutions which can conduct adequate medical tests such as a PCR testing. Please see more details from their website.

■ Restrictions on Entry into Japan
As emergency precautionary measure from a preventive perspective, new entry of foreign nationals is suspended until February28 2022. (including valid VISA holders)
After March 1, 2022, for new entry for short-term stays and new entry for long-term stays for commercial and employment purposes, will be allowed in principle to newly enter Japan if they have been issued a visa based on the prescribed application by the responsible host. For details, please refer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan website.
■ Strengthened Boarder Measure
As of March 1, 2022, for new entry for short-term stays and new entry for long-term stays for commercial and employment purposes, are allowed in principle to newly enter Japan if they have been issued a visa based on the prescribed in the immigrant health confirmation system(ERFS) by the responsible receiving organizations located in Japan. For details, please refer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan website.
As of March 1, 2022, the following changes are made to the quarantine period after entering Japan.
- Travelers entering from a country or region designated as requiring quarantine at government-designated accommodations.
- Those who have received 3 doses of vaccine: In principle, they are required to stay at home for 7 days. However, if the result of a voluntary test taken after 3 days of entry into Japan is negative, you will not be required to continue to stay at home.
- Those who have not received three doses of vaccine: You will be required to wait at the accommodation designated by the quarantine station for three days, and if the result of the test taken at the accommodation is negative, you will not be required to wait at home after leaving the accommodation.
- Travelers entering Japan from countries/regions other than region designated as requiring quarantine at government-designated accommodations.(incl. Netherland)
- Those who have received three doses of vaccine: You will not be required to wait at home after entering Japan.
- Those who have not received 3 doses of vaccine: In principle, you are required to wait at home for 7 days. However, if the result of a voluntary test taken on or after the third day after arrival in Japan is negative, you will not be required to stay at home.
■Access from the airport for passengers entering/reentering to Japan
Currently, upon arrival in Japan from overseas, please take into account that it is not allowed to take any form of public transportation (including regular taxi). Please use private car(use airport parking), or arrange family pick-up, rent a car, reserved hired car, other exclusive transportation (Narita) in advance. Please refer to the following websites for the details on available transportation :
■Use of Public Transportation
You may use public transportation to get to your home after entering Japan, provided that you do so within 24 hours of the inspection at the time of entry.
■ Submission of a Written Pledge
You will be asked to pledge not to use public transportation , to stay at home or in accommodation, to save and present your location information, and to install a contact confirmation application etc. during your self-quarantine period after entry. If you violate the pledge, in addition to being subject to suspension measures based on the Quarantine Law, you may be subject to the following
(1)If you are Japanese, your name and information that may contribute to the prevention of the spread of infection may be publicized.
(2)If you are a resident status holder, your name, nationality, and information that may contribute to the prevention of the spread of infection may be publicized. You may also be subject to revocation of your status of residence and deportation proceedings.
■ Mobile App Installation
At present, all entrants to Japan (including Japanese nationals) are required to install an app on their smartphones to ensure that the 7-day self-isolation period at home or other accommodation after entry into Japan is carried out. You will be required to use this app to report your isolation status and health condition on a daily basis during your self-isolation period.
You can report the test result via app. And the notification of the decision to shorten the self-isolation period will also be sent to you within the app.
■ Mandatory submission of inspection certificate
All travelers returning or entering Japan from abroad, regardless of the country or region in which they are staying and nationalities must provide a negative certificate of covid-19 inspection written in Japanese or English that was conducted within 72 hours prior to departure.

Sample collection method is valid only for one of the following:
- Nasopharyngeal/Nasopharynx
- Saliva
- Nasopharyngeal and Oropharyngeal Swabs
- Nasal Swab (Valid after March 9, 2022 when the test method is Nucleic Acid Amplification test.)
※Only test certificates that contain valid samples and testing methods will be considered valid. On the PCR certificate the date of issuance of the certificate and the date and time of the sample collection (within 72 hours before departure) must be indicated.

■ Mandatory E-Questionnaire before departing to Japan
Customers departing to Japan on/after December 13, 2020 need to fill in an e-questionnaire before departure. Upon arrival in Japan there are limited possibilities to do this. Please make sure you fulfill this e-questionnaire before departure.
■ Fast Track at Japanese quarantine
As of 9th March, Fast track will be available at quarantine upon arrival in Japan at 5 international airport (NRT,HND,KIX,NGO,FUK) Fast Track is an optional service to handle some quarantine procedures in advance, before you enter Japan, using the MySOS app on your smartphone. What to prepare.

■ Entry Restrictions for Passengers Traveling from Japan to the Netherlands
■Entry Restrictions
Currently, visitors to the Netherlands from Japan are limited to those who are exempted from the entry ban set by the Dutch government.
People with proof of vaccination or proof of recovery are exempted from entry ban. This proof of vaccination or recovery must meet certain requirements.
From 23 March 2022 people travelling to the Netherlands no longer need to show a negative test result.
■Proof of vaccination
Proof of vaccination is valid for 270 days after you received the final dose of your primary vaccination. After you receive your booster vaccination, your proof of vaccination is valid indefinitely.
■Health declaration Form
All passengers travelling from, via or to the Netherlands need to fill out a health declaration. This form will appear while checking in: on klm.com, at the self-service kiosk, the KLM app and the check-in desk.
■Self-isolation
You are not required to self-quarantine when you arrive in the Netherlands.
